I felt I should write to let you know that your staff did an absolutely wonderful job in getting our marquees up, and thereafter working so hard to see us safely through storm Ali, which we encountered prior to our weekend festival of racing. When I saw the destruction to temporary facilities elsewhere in Scotland caused by the storm, it showed me how difficult it must have been for your staff.

They also helped us get some facilities strapped down, and for that I am grateful.
In so far as the racing over the weekend is concerned we had a terrific festival, with the venue looking fantastic, and presented to a high standard.

John, please accept my warm and sincere thanks for your very generous gift to the Duke of Edinburgh International award foundation.

The marquee did a fabulous job for the event and the afternoon was a huge success. We had a packed house with some wonderful entertainment from the Soul Nation Choir as well as presentations from Duke of Edinburgh award winners and their mentors. The auction generated a very impressive amount of money and we will soon know the extent of the individual pledges for the foundation.

At my request, Mr John May, Secretary General of the Duke of Edinburgh International award foundation mentioned the gift of the marquee from Purvis Marquees in his opening address to the garden party. That was in addition to having your cards and brochures available.

It is difficult to find the words to fully express my appreciation for what you did. It provided an extraordinary backdrop, an elegant space and a solid foundation for our event. One of these mornings when I’m flying out to London I’ll drop in to express my thanks personally.

Robot Wars 2016

Thank you very much for all your help and assistance during the 2013 show. The weather was much kinder to us this year and I am delighted to report that we had 170,556 people through the gates over the 4 days (an increase of 9,314 on 2012). Working with James and the team was a pleasure from start to finish. James was very responsive and accommodating. He knows his stuff and can problem solve any issues with ease. He grasped very quickly what we were hoping for and made it happen. The build was very swift. The guys were clearly very experienced and the construction work was completely unobtrusive considering the close proximity to our house. Subcontractors came and went as planned, no complications or long wait-ins. Quality of materials was top spec. Take down was equally as impressive. Thank you Purvis, the marquee looked fabulous and was exactly what we wanted.

Cashel Travel was given the challenge of coming up with a stunning venue for a Scottish evening for 800 guests close to Edinburgh.

None of the venues in the city could cope with the requirement of seating all guests and allow plenty of room for entertainment and dancing.

The client really liked Hopetoun House but even utilising all the areas of the building there was insufficient space for the catering, entertainment and staff.

At this point, we started considering the possibility of using a marquee and we made contact with Purvis. They made our end client feel very confident that they were the right choice of supplier to go with for this large and prestigious event.

From the first phone call to check their availability and throughout all meetings, they had an extremely friendly, professional & efficient way of dealing with this quite challenging job. Purvis was extremely accommodating in trying to help with all requirements which makes our job in the DMC much easier.

We were given a time frame for how long the set up would be, and this deadline was held with no delays. The end product and finishing touches were stunning.

It is safe to say that the group had a fantastic evening and all expectations were met both by Cashel Travel and our end client.

We are extremely fortunate to work with such brilliant and reliable suppliers such as both Purvis Marquee and Hopetoun House. May we have many more large events together in the future!
