Our Management Team comes with many years servicing and supporting the film industry, this allows us to hit the ground running, easily supporting you through every stage of production and filming.

If you are a production company, a caterer or a venue that is involved in either all aspects of a film shoot or even a small part, we can help. Our experience includes production villages, crew catering, makeup marquees, storage marquees, set workshops and film set structures, we have delivered it all.

Organising complex sites often associated with a film and TV shoot might be daunting for some, not us; we thrive on the pressure which often comes with these projects. We have a meticulous planning process, and the more complex the requirements the better.

With our connections in the industry, we don’t stop at just the marquees for your shoot, we are in a position to organise most elements from power, lighting, rigging, staging, seating, catering, toilets and much more. This then makes sure the pressure is taken away from you and everything happens under what usually can be very tight schedules.

With a small but hands-on Management Team, you will have the assurance that from day one there will be an experienced manager on site coordinating all of your infrastructure whilst getting stuck in with the site crews. CASE STUDY

UNIVERSAL PICTURES – FAST AND FURIOUS 9

Situation

FF9 (Fast and Furious 9) was filming on location throughout Scotland and required support for their work in and around Edinburgh’s city centre, Glasgow and further afield.

Task

Purvis Marquees were approached to advise on and arrange many of the location facilities for artists, crew and welfare.

Action

Large marquees were installed for a number of activities from artist and crew canteen, prop and vehicle servicing to a multitude of other services.

Purvis also provided security fencing and its managment, to vehicle trackway; making sure to always be on hand for the forecast high-winds.

Result

The Location Director was delighted with the prompt and unwaivering support and has guranteed a continuing arrangement should / and when the need arises.

Universal Pictures (also known as Universal Studios) is an American film studio owned by Comcast through the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group division of its wholly owned subsidiary NBCUniversal.

Founded in 1912 it is the oldest surviving film studio in the United States; the world’s fifth oldest after Gaumont, Pathé, Titanus, and Nordisk Film; and the oldest member of Hollywood’s “Big Five” studios in terms of the overall film market.

Its studios are located in Universal City, California, and its corporate offices are located in New York City.

Purvis have a history of supporting location contracts for the BBC, Universal Pictures, Mentorn Media and many others.

In the case of this latest Film & TV support for FF9 or Fast and Furious 9 with the Location Director Ed Smith we provided a range of services. Beyond the large marquees in two separate locations, to hold artist changing, prop storage, vehicle servicing, catering and toilet facilities, we also provided the security fencing and vehicle trackway.

In addition to being onhand around the clock (due to the forecast high-winds) we were also able to provide a list of items from electrical testing to quick adjustments to entrance-ways allow double height vehicle trailers to get under cover.

Our experience in this field allowed a very smooth operation, ensuring that crew and artists arrived and left with no fuss.
