COVID-19 EMERGENCY FACILITIES

Situation

The Scottish Government have started to ramp up their requirements for test centres to be built within major cities around Scotland. With the rapidly changing need for these facilities the reaction needs to be fast.

Task

Purvis Marquees were asked to mobilise the next day with structures that could fit over accommodation units and provide shelter for the vital testing teams along with key workers or members of the public being tested.

Action

Test bay canopies, 5 at 9m wide and 3 at 8m by 6m deep on 3m legs were installed over testing units and double anchored to make the structures sturdier in high winds. In tighter locations where space was at a premium for passing vehicles, an 8m wide canopy was installed.

Result

Instant reaction to a clients needs. Fast mobilisation with all equipment being built on-site the very next day. Providing support to companies, the public and our nation in some very trying times.
