On a glorious day in April I caught up with Brian McAteer, Event Manager at Kiltwalk to chat about the multi-site, multi-city event. The work they do to encourage sponsors and participants and the role that we as their infrastructure and marquee supplier provide.
It’s a walking conversation that attempts to better show what it takes to create and bring each of these large scale events to fruition. What is needed as a key supplier, to ensure that everything is done to a specific time-frame to minimise expenditure and allow other suppliers to fit in with the schedule and delivery.
We also discuss the importance of building a relationship of trust, reliability, being flexible and the importance of being available to support other on-site suppliers if they need it too.
As experienced hands at working on these massive scale multi-site/city events it becomes clear that there is a lot of respect and admiration for both the incredible Kiltwalk event and for the work that we do.
