Against the backdrop of the iconic Kelpies, thousands of music fans will gather throughout June for Kelpies Live 2026.
They will come to see the artists. They will come to enjoy the atmosphere. They will come to spend time with friends and family at one of Scotland’s most distinctive live event venues.
What many people will not see is the work that happens long before the gates open.
Successful outdoor events rely on much more than a stage and a sound system. Every visitor needs places to meet, relax, eat, drink and take shelter. Event organisers need infrastructure that supports the experience while allowing operations to run smoothly throughout the day and into the evening.
This year, Purvis Marquee Hire is proud to be supporting Kelpies Live, helping create the spaces that sit around the performance areas and contribute to the overall visitor experience.
The 2026 programme brings a strong line-up to Helix Park, including Madness, Faithless, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Ministry of Sound Classical, The Kooks and many more. With thousands of visitors expected across multiple event days, every part of the site needs to perform.
Our team has supplied and installed a series of premium open-sided hospitality structures across the site, creating covered bar and social spaces for visitors throughout the event. Complete with flooring and weather protection, they have been designed to enhance the visitor experience while maintaining the atmosphere of an outdoor concert. The result is a more comfortable environment for guests and a more resilient operational space for event organisers.
Creating these environments requires careful planning.
Large-scale outdoor events bring together numerous moving parts. Visitor flow, access routes, service areas, hospitality spaces, health and safety requirements, production schedules and operational logistics all need to work together. The structures themselves are only one element within a much larger delivery programme.
For organisers, the challenge is not simply accommodating people. It is creating an environment where thousands of individuals can move, gather and enjoy themselves comfortably throughout the day.
That is where temporary event infrastructure becomes critical.
Well-designed covered areas provide protection from changing weather conditions, reduce pressure on key areas of the site and create welcoming spaces where visitors naturally want to spend time. When integrated properly into the wider event design, these structures help improve both operational efficiency and the overall guest experience.
For Purvis, projects such as Kelpies Live reflect the role we have played within the events industry for decades.
From concerts and festivals to sporting events, public celebrations and corporate gatherings, our focus remains the same. We work alongside organisers, venues, local authorities and production teams to provide the infrastructure that helps events operate safely, efficiently and successfully.
Every project is different.
Every site presents its own challenges.
Every event has unique requirements.
The common factor is the need for reliable infrastructure delivered by a team that understands how outdoor events function in the real world.
As visitors gather beneath the Kelpies this summer, enjoying performances from some of the biggest names in music, we are delighted to have played a part in creating the spaces that help bring the event to life.
Because great events are not built around the stage alone.
They are built everywhere people gather.
